This weekend in Los Angeles, I’m personally inviting you to a free 80’s immersive throwback experience in Downtown LA about the FX’s new series Snowfall. Set in the early 1980’s, Snowfall explores the origin of the crack cocaine epidemic and its wider impact. John Singleton has done an amazing jobs with some of my favorites films, so I know this tv series is something you won't want to miss. You’ll get a chance to see a slew of characters on a wild course from a young street kid on the rise, a wrestler caught in crime family, and dirty CIA agent making moves; It had me captivated from the first five minutes of first episode. Snowfall will premiere on Wednesday, July 5th at 10pm ET/PT on FX.
This Snowfall pop-up is free and will be open to the public starting June 23rd, let all of your friends know so they can rsvp as well. During the experience you’ll be able to experience the 80’s first hand; a dj academy where you can learn to spin old-school vinyl with the pros, meet and greet with Lonzo Williams (the godfather of the early West Coast hip-hop, the World Class Wreckin' Cru to be exact), barber shop featuring Jon Monsely (aka the Popular Nobody) giving classic 80’s fade-ups and free food from the world famous Bludso’s BBQ Sliders and Trejo’s Tacos.
Also, giveaways and more, including a pass to attend the premiere screening of Snowfall on Monday, 6/26 at the Theatre at Ace Hotel. It’s going to be an amazing event and one that’ll be talked about. Arrive early because seating is not guaranteed and on a first come, first served basis. Don’t meet me there but beat me there.
